Day 1 : From Fes to Merzouga desert passing by Ifrane and Erfoud.
Camel Ride
Our 2 days Sahara desert tour from Fes will start at any meeting point in Fes. A journey towards the biggest Moroccan desert.
Firstly, we will draw our way to Ifrane crossing the middle Atlas mountains. This range is famous for its green mountains and the far-reaching views of the Berber villages. Further, Ifrane is also called the Switzerland of Morocco or little Switzerland. The reason is that it’s the finest city in Africa and the eighth one worldwide. When you get there, you will have the chance to take a walk and discover the area.
Secondly, we will continue our tour via Midelt or the city of apples. In addition, in this city, there are huge agricultural lands for apples and it’s the first city in Morocco that produces this fruit. Subsequently, you will cross the high Atlas mountains where your driver will stop for some worthy pictures.
Thirdly, you will see the valley of Ziz and then cross the city of Erfoud heading to Merzouga desert.
When you get to Merzouga they will welcome you with mint tea and then switch to the camel ride. Besides, that will be about 40mins before the sunset time, your camel driver will make sure to show you the best panoramic view spot for the sunset.
